WHERE TO BEGIN WHEN PLANNING A MOVE



Give yourself plenty of time when organising a home or office move. There are plenty of things to do when moving an address, such as moving over the utility bills and choosing a removal company. This is why we advise people to start inviting removal companies to survey their property, around 4-6 weeks before a “completion” date. Many people do not contact removal companies until they have “exchanged” which often doesn’t give them enough time to book a reputable company (usually reputable companies are booked up for 2 weeks in advance).

Therefore we would advise that you invite your selected companies around to survey nice and early. That way you will receive your quote in writing and have plenty of time to decide who you feel comfortable in using. From there it will be a case of liaising with your selected removals company, regarding the potential dates you have for moving.
